Course description: This course continues on work started last semester involvoing Maple and LaTeX to do advanced projects and problem solving. This course will focus both on problem solving techniques as well as writing and presenting mathematics.

Location: Olin Hall MathLab Time: Wednesday 2:30-3:50 and Thursday, 1:00-2:20

Homework: Lab assignments and relevant documents will be posted here . Labs will be collected roughly every other week.

Presentations: As part of this course, you'll be learning about the Beamer package for LaTeX (think "Mathematical Powerpoint"). Each lab group will be responsible for giving a short presentation using this package near the end of the semester. Details will be given later on in the semester.

Attendance: You are expected to attend all regularly scheduled class meetings. If you must miss lab for some reason, you must let me know in advance. Each unexcused absence after the first will result in a reduction of one-third of a grade for the semester.

Grading: Grades will be assigned on a rougly 90-80-70 scale, with grades weighted as follows.

Lab Reports	75 %
Attendance and Participation	15 %
Presentation	10 %

Academic Honesty: Students are allowed, and in fact, strongly encouraged, to collaborate on homework assignments. However, the work that you turn in must be your own. No copying from any source!
