The Costume Shop, located beneath the Alexander Stage, contains an impressive inventory of costume construction and maintenance equipment. The department Costume Design's office is located in this space and she along with student designers and technicians create and maintain HJT's production costumes. Over five hundred feet of costume inventory in the Costume Cage represents over ninety years of HJT productions. Dressing rooms and the green room are located nearby. The Costume Shop presents a valuable work opportunity for theatre students, who learn sewing and design techniques as they construct costumes for HJT productions. |
