GEOL 158/358 – Regional Geology (Spring 2007, Costa Rica)
GEOL 210 – Environmental Geology
GEOL 240 – Volcanoes
GEOL 345 – Mineralogy
GEOL 346 – Petrology
My teaching preparation ranged from attending intensive workshops sponsored by the National Science Foundation and the National Association of Geoscience Teachers to reading pedagogical literature. My approach to teaching is to engage and direct students through the learning experience using hands-on experiments, semester-long research projects and discussion of case studies. I strive to emphasize the relevance of the material to real world, post-graduate work and to convey an appreciation of how beautifully petrology, geochemistry and geophysics work together to illuminate the interior processes of Earth's depths.
Under construction still!
