BIOL115 - Natural History and Ecology- Spring

In this class we spend as much time as possible in the field, surrounded by our study subject. My goal is to familiarize environmental studies majors with the local biological environment and to teach the skills and knowledge needed to be a natural historian anywhere in the world.

Most weeks (cold weather or warm, dry or wet) we will leave for the field at 11am and return to campus at 4pm. We will travel to places in and around Walla Walla County. When in the field we will focus on identifying plants and animals, examining their distribution on the landscape, and applying this information to interpret ecological processes.

Please contact me with any questions.
