Bennington Lake (formerly Mill Creek Lake) is part of a flood control project managed by the US Army Corps of Engineers. The area surrounding the lake contains several miles of gravel roads, dirt roads, and trails suitable for mountain biking. Map #4 provides an overview of the mountain bike routes near Bennington Lake. Bennington Lake is located 4 miles east of downtown Walla Walla and can be accessed by the Mill Creek bike path, by driving to Rooks Park, or by driving directly to the lake via Isaacs Avenue, Tausick Way, and Reservoir Road.
