Name of area: Kevin's secret area, aka Pinnacle Point
Where: In northeastern Oregon, between Ukiah and Granite
How do I get there from Walla Walla?:If I told you, I'd have to kill you.
How long of a drive is it? 2 hours
What's there?: Fairly compact pocketed columnar andesite cliffs up to 100 ft. high. There are presently two established sport climbs, 5.10b and 5.8 with potential for many more.
Land Ownership: Umatilla National Forest
Pros: Totally uncrowded (as you might expect), very scenic, fairly solid rock.
Cons:Few established routes. Spring Mountain is closer and probably better. Snowed in for 7 months each year. You have to go with Kevin to find it.
