News from Spring Mountain - September 4, 2008
The weather is perfect and the bugs are mostly gone. The morning low temperature has already dropped below 30° F. The approach trail is overgrown in a few places and there are several logs across the trail. One of the anchor bolts at the top of Summertime Arete is loose. Let me know if you find any other hardware issues. Last (Labor Day) weekend I met lots of nice folks from Walla Walla, Portland, and LaGrande.
