Welcome
to the comparative psychology lab Pigeons eagerly awaiting the day's work. A 3-key operant chamber. The classic apparatus for exploring the avian mind. The lab currently has 5 such chambers, each interfaced to a computer which controls experimental events and records data. One of our hand-built video chambers. Each has a touch (peck) sensitive flat panel monitor for stimulus presentation and response collection. Wally thinks it's funny that his birds get a fancier monitor on their computer than he does. One of the relay racks that makes it all run. Operant chambers for student use in rat lab. The department currently has 5 such chambers that automatically apply commonly used reinforcement schedules.
