Current Projects

At the personality laboratory on the third floor of Maxey Hall at Whitman College, we are involved in research on the following topics:

- Validity of the Triarchic Model of Psychopathy
- Factor structure of the Cluster C Personality Disorders
- Factors affecting faculty job applicant's acceptance decisions
- Incremental validity of minority stress in predicting adjustment
- Links between features of self-defining memories and personality

I also advise undergraduate thesis projects students who are conducting original research on topics ranging from jury decision making to the role of basic emotions in specific phobias.

I also attend the meetings of the Prison Research Group and have supervised an independent study that drew on the local prison population to study links between psychopathy, attachment, and criminal history.
