- The great Benoit Mandelbrot gives a classic talk on fractal geometry (and self-similarity).
Prof. Mandelbrot, at the age of 85, discusses the core ideas of his lifetime of work.
This talk was given in Feb 2010 and Prof. Mandelbrot sadly passed away only a few
months later in October 2010. We are very fortunate that he left us this beautifully produced video.
As a side note, Prof. Mandelbrot has some local connections-
he was briefly associated with the Pacific Northwest National Lab in the tri-cities.
