- Chapter 1:

- Octave is a free version of Matlab. Some things about it may differ from Matlab, but for the things we'll do in class, it shouldn't be a problem.
- Notes about getting started with Matlab (Week 1, includes homework on the last page) We'll discuss this in class as well.
- Matlab Lab 2: Solve some of the exercises using Matlab. Please be sure to give a conclusion for each problem. Just put a percent sign at the beginning of a line of text so that Matlab doesn't think it is a command. Due: Next Wed, Sep 12, 10PM. (Assigned on Wed, Sep 6)
- Homework 2 template if you'd like to start with it.
- Matlab Homework 3 (week 4) explanation (fractals!) (Assigned 9/20, Due 9/27)
- Handout of some fractals
- Matlab script (IFSplot1.m) for an example
