Textbook

Same book as last semester. There are a couple of different versions of the 9th edition (see below).

Elementary Differential Equations and Boundary Value Problems, by William Boyce and Richard DiPrima (9th Edition)

There also is an optional Student Solution Manual Available (typically, these have more detailed solutions to odd numbered problems)
We'll generally be covering topics from Chapters 1-7 except Chapter 4. Also, topics from Chapter 7, 9 as time permits.

Computer Set 1 (For Week 1, due Jan 29) (Back page of Take Home Quiz 1)
Computer Set 2: Solve Exercise 20 in Section 2.2 and Exercise 5 in Section 2.3 using either Maple or Mathematica (See the video below for the solution to Exercise 11). Due Mon, Feb 10, 11:59PM. Upload either your Maple file (.mw) or your Mathematica notebook (.nb). Note: You'll need to see if you can figure out how to plot the solution (using either software). Try using the help features (or talk to me if you've tried that). You may work in groups of up to 3, but all need to upload a solution, and all names should appear somewhere on your worksheet (Maple) or notebook (Mathematica).
Computer Set 3: Solve Exercise 26(a,b) in Section 3.1 using Maple or Mathematica, and upload the results to Canvas before midnight on Friday (28th).
