Equations with Fourier Series and Boundary Value Problems",
and please
note that it is the 5th edition- This is the same
text that has been used previously, but it is a new edition this semester.

- Week 1
- Week 2 (Short week)
- Week 3: This week- 2.3 (Separation of Variables)
- 2.3: 1, 2(a, e), 3(b,c), 4. Turn in 2(e) and 3(c).
- Week 4: Solving the heat equation on more "exotic" boundaries, get more experience
with the trig integrals.
- Week 5: Section 2.5, Review and Exam 1
- Section 2.5 HW: 1(a,f), 3, 5(a), 7(a). Exercises 2 and 10 are also good to look at, although 2 is a little long.
- Week 6 (Monday no classes)
- Week 7
- Homework for 3.4-3.5 (Monday)
- On Wednesday, we'll finish 3.4-3.6. Homework sheet was passed out on Monday.
- Friday we finished 3.5. Read over 3.6 (HW handed out on Monday)
- Week 8
- Monday, we're starting Chapter 4:
- Friday: 4.4, continued. For HW, see the Maple Lab.
- Week 9 (After break, start Chapter 5)
